Carolina QB Cam Newton told reporters he'll play this
season several pounds lighter. In a related story, coach Ron Rivera said
Newton will have a reduced role.
I see what you did there — reduced, lighter. :) ... Supposedly Rivera wants Newton less involved - as in get rid of the ball faster, throw it away if need be and run less. In short, take less of a beating.
