Alcohol killed my father

in 1984;

But to those he knew

in 42,

what killed him

was that war.

  1. PTSD never completely goes away. Most often perceived remedies: alcohol and/or drugs. But of course, those aren't remedies, just more problems. There's a lot more help available now than there was for our fathers and grandfathers, we just have to ask.

  2. I had a cousin who served in 'Nam. He got caught in that Agent Orange thing. He didn't have and drug or alcohol problems, but a lot of behavioral problems. Nice guy, died in his late 40's.Life is tough enough without being sent thousands of miles away to fight an enemy we shouldn't.
