ABC News recently reported clowns carrying baseball bats had been terrorizing people in Bakersfield, California. The first people I'd be questioning are the Oakland A's.

  1. Send in the clowns. Don't worry, they're here! Yes, the M's at Oakland, so even more fans will be staying away!

  2. I wouldn't worry about the A's. They wouldn't be able to hit anyone.

  3. So right. M's are almost as low on the batting chart having been shutout in their previous 2 games and 10 for the season, tops in the league. As Crash Davis said, "they couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat." Attendance was ~200 shy of 4800 and in that park, it was not a good look. Amongst their fandom, they have a drummer who plays any old time he/she feels like it. How he/she has not been shot yet is a mystery!

  4. They'll do anything to get out of Oakland. Nobody wants to play in that stadium.

  5. Game 2 attendance 5400, capacity 63,000. The fans who show up are terrific, they deserve better. Announcer says early in the game, we seem to be missing a drummer. Not to worry, there was a trombonist, instead! The M's who seemingly couldn't score in a bordello, have plated 17 runs in 2 games. They may play all their home games in Oakland!
