The Kansas City Chiefs want OT rules changed so both teams will get a possession. "Fantastic idea, and fair to both sides," said the CFL — 19 years ago.

    2. In 1971, the longest NFL game played at 82 minutes, 40 seconds, Miami kicker Garo Yepremian kicked the winning 37-yard field goal after 7:40 of the second overtime period.

      That was a Christmas day game and I remember watching the whole thing, but wasn't especially pleased with the outcome. It was a terrific game for the fans. KC blew at least 2 field goal attempts that would've won the game.

    3. I listened to part of that game on radio. We got a lot of extra stations in winter. I was a Paul Warfield fan so it was an unexpected treat.
