Marry Christmas and Happy New Years to you & your family, RJ, from our family. I look forward to you blog every morning. Couldn't ask for a better present. The same to all the others who comment regularly on this site. Dave Fabrizi (Chad)
Thank you so much, Dave, for the kind words and well wishes. (You must explain Chad to us one day.) Without regular comments from you, Gary, Kelly and C Harris. I'm not sure this blog would have continued.
Was "Marry" Christmas a Freudian slip, Chad? Some visitors here enjoy my observations on marriage, so it is apt. Regardless, Merry Christmas to you and Annie-O (who enjoys my puns).
Yes, "Marry" was a mistake. This is why my wife edits all my blogs. I don't know how you write, but I have a 'stream-of-consciousness' style, which leads to this kind of mistake - also repeating words or leaving words out. Sorry about that. Chad Picasner is kind of a long story. Maybe I'll bore you with an e-mail rather than tie up your blog. Chad
My writing is full of mistakes. Some are typos, some are are leaving the ends of words (the instead of they). When it's jokes, many are cut-and-paste from moving bits around.
I am actually a very good proofreader and have edited the Express from time to time. But on my own stuff I am blind — I see the words in my head not on the page. I think that is true for everybody: we all need "fresh eyes" to proof our writing.
Merry Christmas to you and yours, and all the regular (or irregular) followers with whom I'm proud to be considered equally regular (or irregular).
ReplyDeleteI would lean toward irregular — in the best way — on that one, Gary.

Did it again: "ends off words" came out "ends of words"
