Whew! Argentina narrowly survived elimination in the first round of World Cup. If they hadn’t, things would have gotten Messi.

    They didn't last long as they got bounced in the round of 16. The sport's two big stars - Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal)- are both out of the World Cup.
