How excited are Americans at Team Jamie Sinclair being the first U.S. women to win a Grand Slam curling title? It was neck-and-neck in U.S. TV ratings with the CFL Draft.

    Not only did they make history in winning the Players Championship in Toronto, she beat reigning world champs Team Jennifer Jones, ending Jones' 27-game winning streak.

      Yes, and she is pleasant to look at. Back in my creative director days I would have said: "That's a face that can sell product."

      No SportsNet. Can get CBC via cable but I gave that up during the recession of 08/09.

    So probably not on TV down there. I was recently just north of you for a week on Salt Spring Island. First thing I heard on the car (rental) radio was, "You're listening to Mariners radio." Turns out it is picked up in Vancouver.

    BC, Alaska, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, at least. Closest MLB teams are Denver and SF/Oakland. Hope you enjoyed your week in paradise in spite of the radio menu!
