News reports Waterloo student Sara Greenbergh has left university to
perform in Cavalia, a world-famous circus. It's like being drafted by
the Knicks.
True story, Gary: I broke up with a woman I had been dating for 8 months after travelling with her from Manitoba to Kitchener-Waterloo for her grad ceremony from U. of Waterloo. So our relationship indeed met its Waterloo.
It was long and uncomfortable indeed, Gary. And we camped on the way back because her 10-year-old daughter (a terrific kid) was with us. So the drive was even longer for both of us. Everything that could go wrong, did.
You never really know someone until you take a trip with them, IMO. We found that out.
In a way, she met her future Waterloo?

ReplyDeleteI looked it up, almost 20 hours!, that must've seemed an interminable trip, assuming you knew what was coming - after the ceremony?
