The CFL fined the Saskatchewan Roughriders $60K for using unsigned players on the practice grounds. They also fined coach Chris Jones $26K for falsely taking the moral high ground.
And Jones said he has been doing this for years. Think the the CFL head office didn't know about this stuff last year when he lead the Edmonton Eskimos to the Grey Cup? Too chicken to go after the CFL's "flagship franchise." Much easier to target the small market Riders.
A disingenuous Chris Jones: "We owe it to our fans to do everything possible to field a winning team."
ReplyDeleteThen after the weekend loss, Jones told Stamps coach Dave Dickenson to "Win with some class."
ReplyDeleteSeveral newspapers are calling Chris Jones the Bill Belichick of the CFL. LOL.
