  1. I just got a quaint email from someone who said it is wrong to start a sentence with "and."... Seriously? Where did that antiquated notion come from - grammar school in the sixties? It is common in today's journalism my friend. Pick up any newspaper and you'll soon see it.

  4. Nope. Not Kelsey. (BTW: I did get the Frasier reference). I avoided singling this person out because it is a commonly held misconception despite all the evidence around us every day to the contrary. Not the first time I've run into this. And not the last I'm sure.
