I doubt anyone ever said that to his face! Here's an interesting bit of trivia...in high school, Brown averaged a record 38 points per game on the Manhasset HS basketball team. That record was broken by Carl Yastrzemski just 3 years later, 1957. (Another bit of trivia, since I just read it...Yaz is the first Little League "alum" to become a member of the baseball Hall of Fame.)
I thought it was basket weaving. Rumor has it that it was Jim Brown's major.
