NOTE TO READERS FROM RJ CURRIE
Sad news. The Saskatoon Express (home to my humour column for the last eight years) has closed its doors. Read about it here.
Sad news on the Express front. Readers in Saskatoon are going to miss out on a lot of laughs going forward just from the loss of the Cam and Currie columns. Here's hoping another door opens so that you guys can showcase your work.
Agreed. It likely will also mean the end of this blog. Each Friday I have risen early, and gone to my lair-of-the-day to write my column for the Express. Those ideas would then drift here over the following week.
Come on. You can't mean that. Chad My wife says you will have to write privately to us every day. Tony Chong found an outlet for his weekly humor after his blog site shut down.
To quote Inspector Clouseau, "Not any more." Actually, he e-mails it various people. I don't don't know of any site that publishes it. It would be hard anyway because of his content, which is not family-oriented.
OMG! Where will I get curling jokes from? LOl. Seriously, I hope your column finds a new home. I check this blog almost every day, and I always feel more cheerful afterwards. Excellent humor (and you have a terrific eye for the cheering ladies). This blog folding would be a deeply felt personal loss.

ReplyDeleteThanks Dwight. I share that hope.

I agree. I don't want to see a talent like Cam unread.

DeleteSad news indeed. Hope you keep on writing. Talented creative people need an output.

Someone publishes TC's weekly batch?

ReplyDeleteOkay, thanks Chad. Thought I'd missed something there.
