At the Grand Slam curling event in Lloydminster, Sweden’s Anna Hasselborg
had a 7-ender go against her. Or as my old curling team used to
call that — the usual.
We did have a 7-ender go against us — and we had last rock! Our skip said "I'm just going to chuck it as hard as I can; I'm bound to hit something." He didn't.
We had an 8-ender against us many years ago. Our skip said "I'll just draw one into the pile in the rings" he ended up tapping one of theirs, which was just outside the rings, onto the rings giving their skip a free draw for 8!
...or as my old curling team used to call it --- we're improving.
