The Atlanta Falcons fired defensive
coaches Richard Smith and Bryan Cox. When asked what the tipping point
was, coach Dan Quinn listed 31 points in row.
Not sure why some are calling it the greatest Super Bowl ever. Watching the Falcons (or any team) implode like that was not entertaining, it was painful. And it essentially ended on a coin toss.
Give me high-scoring, back-and-forth games — Broncos 31-Packers 24, Steelers 35-Cowboys 21, Patriots 32-Panthers 29 — to name a few.
Greatest to Pats fans; to folks in Atlanta ... not so much. To paraphrase Dennis Green: "The Pats are who we thought they were! And we let 'em off the hook!"
