The Savanna Bananas baseball team just adopted a puppy found in their parking lot. Possible nicknames include The Yankee Yipper, Dogfish Hunter, Poochie Wilson, Yasiel Pug and Bark McGwire.
Sorry Chad. Couldn't resist the pun. Not sure if Dwight was first (i submitted this to Cam et al on thursday) but Dwight and I love dogs and puns, so a puppy on the Bananas was hard to resist.
Some nice additions to the list courtesy of Tim Cooper (Arkansas online), including Chase Muttley. http://www.arkansasonline.com/news/2016/jun/02/boston-s-betts-hits-long-shots-batting-/?f=sports
What's with this fascination with the Savannah Bananas? First Dwight and now you. Is there something we should know?
ReplyDeleteI think the Bananas have appeal.

ReplyDeleteSaw the T-shirt on your blog. Nice.
I'll live with the pun only because it makes Annie-O giggle.
DeleteDwight is a favourite of mine. Consistently good.
ReplyDeleteMine, too - along with you and Janet - and Brad Dickson.
DeleteYou are too kind, Chad. Thanks. That's good company to be in.
DeleteIs there room for "Mad Dog" Maddux
ReplyDeleteHe would fit too, Hartley. I forgot about "Mad Dog" Maddox, (aka The Professor). Wouldn't need to change it either.

ReplyDeleteThank you all for chiming in.
Another possible name for our all-pup team: Bite Gooden?
ReplyDeleteLOL. Bite Gooden aka Dr. K-nine?
ReplyDeleteAll good, quite a list!
ReplyDeleteYes; some clever contributions. And I have more coming up.
