The NHL and the NHLPA announced the World Cup of Hockey, set to run  in September. Right: because nine months a year of hockey just isn’t enough.

    When their season overlaps itself, they may pull back a little. That goes for all the professional leagues.

    It's getting close to that. The Stanley Cup used to end in April.
