SPORTS DEKE NOTE:
Sad news. One of Manitoba's great curlers, Vic Peters, died yesterday at the age of 60. He represented the province three times at the Brier, making two finals and winning it all in 1992. In 1997 Peters was awarded the Ross Harstone Trophy as the curler who best represents sportsmanship, observance of the rules, exemplary conduct and curling ability. That says it all.
