RJ’s Groaner of the Week The Calgary Stampeders are known simply as the Stamps. Maybe because of the lickings they’ve given opponents — especially philately.
Whew! Had to consult the dictionary for this one; philately- the study of stamps. You got me on that one, but now I get you. Good one. I learned something new today.
Thanks Charles T. Tell all your friends: Sports Deke is educational.... It was Gary who I think mentioned philatelists in connection with the Stampeders, and I expanded it from there. So he gets some credit here.
